Morphology Module

for English, Spanish, German, Italian and Russian languages

With the help of Morphology Module you can translate the word entered in any form (for example, if you use plural nouns and adjectives, different verb forms and so on). SlovoEd dictionary software will find base form of the word and will speed up translation when working with e-mails, documents or web-pages. In this way, the Morphology Module allows you to use the dictionary more effectively while working with foreign literature and will be useful for those users who have just begun learning language.

Resident Module

Click just once to get quick and precise translation right in the current application without opening the dictionary. Use this feature for unknown words in e-mails and documents, web-pages and other programs interface. The Resident window will appear on the screen. If the word you are looking for is present in the dictionary, you will see its translation. Otherwise, the words that are close to this word in the dictionary list will be shown. Also you will see the words that are close to its base form from Morphology Module .

Cross Look-up

Cross look-up feature lets you receive cross-translation between articles and directions. Choose any unfamiliar word in the dictionary entry and you will instantly receive its translation with one click of your mouse or just by pressing a button on your phone.

Sound Modules

for English, French, Spanish, Italian, Russian and German languages

Sound Modules let you listen to pre-recorded native speakers pronunciation of the words in SlovoEd dictionaries. Sound modules are provided now for English, Spanish, French, Italian, Russian and German languages.

Sound Modules is included all Talking dictionaries by default.

Virtual Keyboard

Enter the words in your native language easier using on-screen Virtual Keyboard for more than 25 languages. In desktop dictionaries this feature is useful if you don't have a national layout for the language you need.

Flash Cards Quiz

Flash Cards Quiz lets you add new words to flash cards and pass a quiz using them. The more you give the right translation of the certain word, the less you will be asked to translate one. When you finally learn the word, its Flash Card won't be shown anymore.

Word of the Day

Word of the Day is another word-learning method offered by SlovoEd dictionaries. Each day a new word is shown when you start the dictionary application so that you could remember 365 new words a year!

Table of Irregular Verbs

The table of English irregular verbs is available in all English dictionaries. Knowing only one form of the verb you will be able to find the others quickly. Several sorting modes will help to find the verb form you need.

Personal Dictionary Databases

You can enlarge SlovoEd electronic dictionary word database greatly by adding new entries and creating your own dictionaries. Comment on existing items and add new full entries with translation, transcriptions, usage samples and special marks.

Search Module

In case you doubt the spelling of the word, you can search for it by entering "?" or "*" symbols instead of some letters. This module can be extremely useful for cross-word lovers. All you need is to guess just some letters from the mystery word. SlovoEd stores and keeps last 30 words in the Search History and you will easily find any word from the History at any time.
You can also find word with the help of Fuzzy Search. If you do not remember the spelling, you can enter a wrong variant and get a list of possible words.

SlovoEd Online Update

Now you do not need to look for dictionary updates on the web, SlovoEd easily checks for updates automatically every two weeks. Once new version of the dictionary is released; you will be informed by SlovoEd Online Update and will be able to download it directly on your computer or phone.

Online dictionary catalog

Online dictionary catalog gives you an ability to download new dictionaries directly to your computer or phone. Choose the translation direction from the supported 30 languages and get the list of available dictionaries. The short description of each dictionary is provided for comprehension. The selected dictionary can be downloaded and installed directly on your computer or phone.
Note! To download new dictionaries you should have enabled Internet connection.

IntraArticle Search

Thanks to a new feature of the application, you can search for words right in the dictionary article. Thus you can find any word even in the longest and most detailed dictionary article.

Language Identifier

Due to our new Language identifier, you no more need to change the translation direction each time you input words. Other SlovoEd translation software features

Merge of databases

If you install two or more different SlovoEd dictionaries on your PC or mobile device, the dictionary databases will merge under single shell, so you won’t need to switch between different dictionary applications. Besides, if you install a monolingual an bilingual dictionary of one language simultaneously, their databases will merge in one direction of translation (e.g.: English-Spanish direction will include English-Spanish and English explanatory databases).

REFIGS interface

SlovoEd dictionary interface is available in Russian, English, French, Italian, German and Spanish languages. You can change the interface language anytime, without re-installation of SlovoEd dictionary engine. Other languages of interface are optional.

Two dictionary modes

SlovoEd dictionary in basic mode occupies minimal space on your screen and is convenient while reading a text in foreign language. Advanced mode is useful for language learners and professional translators.

Tunable interface
